The Rock's bizarre 'no-lose' clause in contract may explain extremely awkward interview moment

Dwayne Johnson had a pretty awkward encounter with Amelia Dimoldenberg on the red carpet. Joe Yates An awkward red carpet interview with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson might just show his rumored 'no lose' clause in action. Podcaster Amelia Dimoldenberg caught up with Johnson and challenged him to an off-the-cuff game. And while Dimoldenberg specializes in her own brand of awkwardness - as fans of Chicken Shop Date will know - her encounter with The Rock was especially cringeworthy. And there could be an explanation as to why the interview was difficult to watch ... it may be that the 52-year-old is simply just a winner. The Rock was not best pleased after he lost a game of rock, paper, scissors (TikTok / @ ameliadimz) I mean, he was and is THE MAN in the WWE wrestling world, he's tall, strong, rich, successful, good looking, and a father - there's not a thing in life that he's not winning in. So what's this 'no-lose clause' that he has written into all his movie contracts? It's that reportedly he can't ever lose a fight on screen, or even be seen to take too much punishment in his many on screen fights. The Wall Street Journal reported that Vin Diesel was the first to have such a clause in the Fast and Furious franchise. Vin Diesel had reportedly developed a system where he assigned a numerical value to each blow he receiving on screen. These were meticulously counted up by a producer, his younger sister, to make sure the rules of the contract were being followed. Johnson and Statham saw this system and had a similar clause added into their contracts. But does this contract extend to ... a game of rock, paper, scissors? That's what Dimoldenberg was about to find out when she challenged The Rock to a round of the playground game, no doubt punning on his nickname. I'm not suggesting Dimoldenberg signed a contract in which she was supposed to lose to The Rock ... just that his winning mentality may have been the reason that he presumed the presenter was cheating. Let's quickly detail how events unfolded. While at the Oscars , Johnson agreed to speak to the 30-year-old, and they played a quick game. He chooses rock, and Dimoldenberg paper, and so she won. But then Johnson argues that in the game you're supposed to reveal your answer on the word 'go', but Dimoldenberg did it on 'scissors'. Johnson then jokes: "This is cheating, what kind of bulls *** is this?"

Dimoldenberg replies: "I think I just won."
He quips: "You just cheated."

They play again and Johnson wins choosing scissors to her paper.
Dimoldenberg then suggests the reason for the confusion.
She said: "I think my way is the British way and it's a lot better."
Which, I'm in agreement with - having seen multiple videos online prior to this, I've seen the difference between how the US play the game versus how the UK does.
The comedian continued: "At first I thought that you were just only doing rock."
To which The Rock revealed: "That's usually what I do, but since you cheated I recognized your game."
So there you have it - if you get the chance to play The Rock at rock, paper, scissors ... choose paper.

The Rock's insult made Ludacris break character but was used in final Fast and Furious film Dwayne

Johnson's hilarious improv left his co-star in stitches Rhiannon Ingle While an insult from The Rock made Ludacris break character, it still ended up being used in one of the many Fast and Furious films. Dwayne Johnson delivered one of his funniest improv lines whilst filming Fast and Furious 6 along the rest of the star-studded cast including the likes of Paul Walker , Vin Diesel and - the man who ended up on the receiving end of The Rock's razor-sharp. . . wit - Tyrese Gibson. And it seems like the cars weren't the only fast things on set given Dwayne's super-speedy wise-crack. Check it out: Fans have loved every bit of the iconic Fast and Furious franchise since it first hit our screens back in 2001. The movie franchise went on to roll out nine more films leading the total number to an impressive 10 including the likes of 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and, fan-favorite, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006). While, for the most part, the flicks are action-packed with impressive racing stunts, intricate fight scenes and some deep emotional moments - there were definitely some more comedic elements at play behind-the-scenes. And this was exactly the case for The Rock , who plays Luke Hobbs alongside rapper Ludacris
, who took on the role of Tej Parker.
Whilst shooting a scene in which the crew gather round for a family barbecue, Johnson took it upon himself to add a little spice to the script and let's just say we are all glad he did.

In the scene, Johnson walks up to the cook-out with Gibson, who plays Roman, chirping up with: "Hey Mia, you better hide your baby oil," as a not-so-subtle dig against the strongman's shiny aesthetic. . .
Upon clocking The Rock's face, he quickly follows up with: "I'm just playing."
Taking absolutely no time to think up a response, Johnson launches back with a side-splitting a counter-attack saying: "You better hide that big a ** forehead."
Ludacris, stood night to Gibson at the time of the hilarious roast, immediately spat out his drink after not being able to hold in his laughter.
Gibson, visibly uncomfortable, proceeds to say: "I was just joking but whatever."
And fans are going absolutely wild for it after the clip resurfaced on social media recently.

A second echoed: "That was actually what they said to each other cause they did not have anything part for this scene.

" One of my favorite parts from this movie, "wrote a third," I think it's because of Ludacris' genuine reaction. "
Another penned:" True unscripted reaction by Ludacris. One of the best scenes in the movie. "
A final TikTok user added:" Hahaha got to love it when you have to improvise in the heat of the moment. "
