Harry Potter fans shocked after deleted scene randomly appeared in Goblet Of Fire

The deleted scene featured in Goblet of Fire has surprised fans Mia Williams A deleted scene makes an appearance bizarrely in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire - and fans thought they were seeing things. If there's one thing we know about Harry Potter fans, they are a stickler for detail. So, if something is out of place - they are gonna spot it. And in this scene from Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, the Hogwarts students sit down to sing their official school song - and it's all very bizarre. Fans have said that it's a deleted scene that actually happened in the book appeared in the movie. The song is called 'Hoggy Warty Hogwarts', and if you think that's strange, you might want to pay close attention to the lyrics… Filmed in the infamous Hogwarts Great Hall, the Wizarding School welcomed Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic to compete in the Triwizard Tournament. Dumbledore starts off the proceedings by yelling across the hall, 'maestro please'. As epic as that may sound, the rest of the performance was totally bizarre. The school students start by singing: "Whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees", and "for now they're bare and full of hair, dead flies and bits of fluff." (kristinamarieclaire / TikTok / Warner Bros.) The faces of the students from the other schools say it all as they look utterly perplexed as to what's going on. And those in the comments section were equally confused, while some offered to give some plausible explanations for the bizarre sing / song. One person commented: "That was definitely cut lmfao tho it does explain the interview where Dan was mad that the schools had cool entrances and they had this." Another said: "Deff don't remember this lol and I was obsessed with Harry Potter . I passed down my stuff to my oldest now. I'll check the DVD and VHS." "Dude I nearly peed myself the first time I saw the TV cut with this in it sksjshsnsm,"a third added.

Meanwhile, a fourth person reckoned: "Yes. For the tv versions, they added them back in. It might just be part of the director's cut."

"It's a deleted scene from the movie that actually happened in the book," a fifth thought.

Someone else said: "Lmao in the books Dumbledore has them all pick their favorite tune and everyone finishes at diff times. The Weasley twins chose a funeral march."

Another added: "Oh my gosh thanks for filling me in on that because my cousin and I were both about to flip because we quote almost everything." Featured Image Credit: kristinamarieclaire / TikTok / Warner Bros.

Harry Potter star reveals shocking pay check for 'long 12 hour days' filming on set

This really makes you rethink the childhood dream of going. to Hogwarts Gerrard Kaonga If this is all the wannabe witches and wizards were getting paid for filming back in the day its probably a good thing I never did get my Hogwarts letter. Unless you have been avoiding popular culture for the past 25 years, you will be well aware of just how impactful the Harry Potter franchise has been in entertainment. In fact, Harry Potter and all of the films attached to the universe combine to make it one of the most profitable film franchises in the history of well ... cinema. So yeah, a pretty big deal. Harry Potter is one of the most successful film franchises in history (Warner Bros.) Growing up and either reading JK Rowling's words or watching them on the screen, most kids wanted nothing better than to go to Hogwarts and live out their own magical adventures. But seeing as that was not strictly possible, most would have settled for being part of the film franchise in some way. And some kids were lucky enough to be part of the franchise in real life by being an extra or even starring as recurring characters. However, one of the former stars has taken to social media to pretty much say it was not all it was cracked up to be. Samantha Clinch featured in two of the Harry Potter films, The Prisoner of AzKaban and The Goblet of Fire. Don't remember her? Well, she played Eloise Midgen. Samantha Clinch appeared in two of the Harry Potter films when she was a teenager (TikTok / @ samanthaclinch)

What? You still do not remember her? She features in the Yule Ball dance lesson scene, the one where Rupert Grint's Ron Weasley ends up dancing hand in hand with Maggie Smith's Professor McGonagall.

Yep, right before Ron ends up paired with the professor he's acting a twit with character Seamus Finnigan and jokes that 'something is about to burst out of Eloise Midgen'.

Hint: It is not a swan.

So back to Clinch, in a TikTok video the actress revealed exactly what extras were paid per day, which would usually see them work for 12 hours. And spoiler alert, it wasn't the big bucks like the franchise's leading stars.

She said: "So, for context, in Goblet of Fire Daniel Radcliffe got paid $ 11 million - that's £ 9.5 million. For extra context, we would do 12 hour days. Big 12 hour days.

“We would be called for breakfast in the holding area outside set for 5:30 am, in the morning [...] are you ready for how much we were paid? £ 35 ($ 46) a day. That's 91 2.91 an hour, is that legal? ”

She added when she got featured a little more prominently as Midgen, her pay took a big jump to £ 70 ($ 92) per day.

Clinch joked: "When I became the part of Eloise Midgen, honestly little did I know that day when I was going to set, how the day would change for me - and my bank account!"

The actress revealed the extras would only be paid £ 35 per day for their work (TikTok / @ samanthaclinch)

“They doubled it, they doubled it. In the grand scheme of things getting paid £ 2.91 an hour isn't that bad, and there was this constant stream of food. It was like an all inclusive.

"Seriously, the amount of Squares bars and iced buns we got through, minimum £ 15 a day."

So, I guess it sort of worked out for everyone. Warner Bros. got a globally beloved billion dollar franchise, and the kids got some snacks. Winning.Featured Image Credit: Warner Bros. / TikTok / @ samanthaclinch

Michael SlavinAdvertAdvertAdvertPublished 13:56 30 Dec 2023 GMTGary Oldman slams his acting in Harry Potter and reveals why he was 'mediocre'Gary Oldman praised his roles. . but believes his acting was 'mediocre' Britt Jones If you're a Well-known British actor, there's a running gag that you've been in this one film franchise at one point or another. That's because it was a powerhouse of big-screen magic. One of those stars was renowned actor Gary Oldman who has been in projects such as The Dark Knight, The Fifth Element and Bram Stoker's Dracula. But if you're a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, you'll also know that Oldman was a prominent character throughout the films.Well, at least up until the fifth installment…Warner Bros. However, those films may have saved his career as his performance as the great Sirius Black was an emotional journey. No matter how much fans praise his work in the franchise, Oldman does not think about it the same way and certainly does not give himself credit for his portrayal of the tortured wizard. After debuting the character in 2004's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban(one of the best, I might add), his fanbase grew exponentially. But in a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he went on to call his acting in the films 'mediocre'. He said: "I think my work is mediocre in it." Host Josh Horowitz was baffled at the statement, but the Oscar winner went on to explain why he believes his acting was not as good as it could have been. YouTube / Josh Horowitz Oldman continued: “No, I do. Maybe if I had read the books like Alan [Rickman], if I had got ahead of the curve, if I had known what's coming, I honestly think I would have played it differently. He added: "It's like anything, if I sat and watched myself in something and said, 'My god, I'm amazing,' that would be a very sad day, because you want to make the next thing better. " But the actor is thankful for the franchise and his role in Batman for saving his career and his personal life after he was dealing with a lot of stress at the time. He talked on The Drew Barrymore Show about how he was not getting as many opportunities before being cast at Sirius Black and James Gordon . He said: "At 42 years old, I woke up divorced and I had custody of [my] boys." “That, in itself, was… that was hard because there was a shift in the industry where a lot of productions were being [filmed in] Hungary, Budapest, Prague, Australia, you know, all of these places. So, I turned down a lot of work. ”

He continued: “Thank God for Harry Potter.

"I tell you, the two - Batman and Harry Potter - really, they saved me, because it meant that I could do the least amount of work for the most amount of money and then be home with the kids."
