YouTuber Nikocado Avocado showcases 250lb weight loss after trolls labeled him 'sick and irrelevant' Mukbang YouTuber Nikocado Avocado said he'd managed to stay 'two steps ahead of everyone'

A YouTuber has returned to the platform and shown off an astonishing weight loss after being targeted by trolls.

Nikocado Avocado was known for his 'mukbang' style of videos in which he would eat a large plate of food while chatting with viewers.

The streamer had been bullied about his weight online during his videos.

Around seven months ago videos stopped being uploaded onto his channel, with videos ceasing to appear on his secondary channel around three months ago.

Many of the streamer's fans were left confused by this as new videos would no longer show up on the channel.

That was until the YouTuber posted a new video in which he revealed some surprising revelations about what he had been doing during the hiatus.

And among the surprising things was that while he had not posted new content for months, he had not been making videos for longer than that.

In fact, Nikocado revealed that he had not actually made a new video for the channel for around two years.

Instead he pre-recorded a lot of the content and had been posting it slowly to make it seem as though he was still active.

But what he had actually been doing was working on losing a lot of weight, which he revealed upon his return to the platform.

In a new post he revealed that he had lost some 250lbs in weight, with the way that his posts were done making it seem as though it had happened overnight.

He revealed that he had been bullied online for his appearance, and pulled the stunt with revealing his weight loss suddenly as a way to get one over on people who had been bullying him.

"Just yesterday people were calling me fat and sick and boring and irrelevant," the YouTuber said.

"People are the most messed up creatures on the the entire planet and yet I've still managed to stay two steps ahead of everyone. The joke's on you."

His new videos still see him eating a lot of food, with the streamer posting: "I finished my food like a good boy and a good YouTuber, OK. He kept his word, he kept his promise and he did it.

"I said I would finish and I did and honestly I need to get this, keep this appetite nice and rammed up so I don't mind it at all."

He also explained that he would continue to make content for social media, urging people to like and subscribe to his videos.Featured Image Credit: Nikocado Avocado/YouTube

Oprah is leaving WeightWatchers board after revealing she's using a weight loss drug The TV host admitted last year she was using a weight loss drug.

Winfrey admitted to taking a weight-loss drug

The 70-year-old didn't reveal what drug she was taking when she made the revelation last December.

She told PEOPLE at the time: "I realized I’d been blaming myself all these years for being overweight, and I have a predisposition that no amount of willpower is going to control.

"Obesity is a disease. It’s not about willpower - it's about the brain."

After making that discovery in July 2023 and having recommended a weight loss drug to others 'long before', Winfrey then went on it herself.

The TV personality continued: "The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for."

Winfrey steps down from WeightWatchers' board

Winfrey has served on the WeightWatchers' board since 2015. However, on 26 February - as per an SEC filing seen by Variety - she told the company she wouldn't be standing for re-election in May 2024 when shareholders conduct their annual meeting.

Though she did add: "I look forward to continuing to advise and collaborate with WeightWatchers and CEO Sima Sistani in elevating the conversation around recognizing obesity as a chronic condition, working to reduce stigma, and advocating for health equity."

Winfrey's being on a weight-loss drug allegedly technically went against her agreement with WeightWatchers - the TV host not allowed to use 'any other weight loss or weigh management' products or services, or engage with any other similar businesses or programs.

However, reflecting on Winfrey's decision to leave the board, WeightWatchers stated: "Her decision was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices."

What happens to Winfrey's stake in the company?

When she first joined the board in 2015, Winfrey acquired a 10 percent stake in the company, the interest of which she's said she will be donating to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

WeightWatchers' board of directors said in a statement: "[We're] supportive of Ms. Winfrey’s proposal to donate all of her WW stock to the NMAAHC during the company’s upcoming trading window in March 2024.

"Ms. Winfrey is making the donation to support the NMAAHC’s goal to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans and to eliminate any perceived conflict of interest around her taking weight-loss medications.

"In addition, Ms. Winfrey intends to donate the proceeds from any future exercises of her WW stock options to NMAAHC."

Winfrey's future with WeightWatchers

Despite stepping down from the board, Winfrey is set to continue participating in 'a number of public forums and events' with the company.

WeightWatchers International chairman Thilo Semmelbauer resolved: "Oprah has been an inspiring presence and passionate advocate for our members, providing critical insights and counsel that has helped shape WeightWatchers over these last 8 years. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank her for her energy, dedication, and for continuing to play a role as collaborator and thought partner going forward. What I know for sure, we will dearly miss her presence on the board."

YouTuber Ninja reveals heartbreaking cancer diagnosis Ninja has been speaking about his cancer diagnosis on X

Popular YouTuber Ninja has revealed a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis to his fans.

The gaming influencer, also known as Tyler Blevins, took to X to make the announcement.

"Alright I’m still in a bit of shock but want to keep you all updated. A few weeks ago I went in to a dermatologist for an annual skin/mole check that Jess proactively scheduled for me," he wrote.

"There was a mole on the bottom of my foot that they wanted to remove just to be careful.

"It came back as melanoma, but they are optimistic that we caught it in the early stages."

Diego Donamaria/Getty Images for SXSW

He contained: "I had another dark spot appear near it, so today they biopsied that and removed a larger area around the melanoma with the hopes that under the microscope they will see clear non-melanoma edges and we will know we got it.

"I’m grateful to have hope in finding this early, but please take this as a PSA to get skin checkups."

Ninja's wife, Jessica Blevins, has also taken to X following the announcement.

She penned: "Crazy butterfly effect moment-I probably wouldn’t have started scheduling annual skin checkups yet if we didn’t move to Florida. Foot melanoma is not sun-related, so it would have been there anyways and we might not have found it. Thank God.

"Also, thank you for your outpouring love. I’m here to be strong for @Ninja

and give him all the help and support he needs! We feel strong knowing God is walking with us through all of this!"

For those unaware, melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body.

Typically, the cause of the cancer is exposure to ultraviolet light from sources such as the sun.

However, age, paleness of skin, moles and a family history of the disease are all potential factors in the potential development of melanoma.

Surgery is a common treatment for the skin cancer, though that is very much dependent on how widespread and progressed the cancer is.

In Ninja's case, the link between sunlight and melanoma on the foot is unclear.

Particularly because it's an area of the body that's far less exposed to UV.

Many have flocked to the comments section of Ninja's X post to wish him well.

"Praying for you Tyler. W Jess for making that get looked at," one person wrote.

"Hoping for the best. Lots of love to Jess for being proactive as well," a second added.Featured Image Credit: Amy Lemus/NurPhoto via Getty Images/Theo Wargo/Getty Images

Scientists invented 'weight-loss device' that locks jaw shut and people are outraged Social media users have likened it to a 'medieval torture device'

Scientists have caused controversy after inventing a 'weight-loss device' that people are calling a 'medieval torture device.'

From dangerous diets to popping pills, the weight loss industry is full of controversial methods.
Most recently, prescription drug Ozempic has taken Hollywood by storm due to its appetite-curbing abilities that 'trick the brain' into thinking you're full.

However, high demand for the drug for weight loss purposes has lead to shortages, leaving those who use it to treat type 2 diabetes unable to source any.

But no weight-loss method is arguably as controversial as the 'world's first weight-loss device', which sees its user's jaw locked shut.

Created by researchers from New Zealand's University of Otago, the DentalSlim Diet Control is made up of magnets that are attached to the bottom and top first molar teeth.

This restricts the jaw from opening more than 2 millimeters wide and forces the user to consume a liquid diet that's lower in calories.

The device was recently the subject of a study published in Nature's British Dental Journal.

After being fitted with the DentalSlim for two weeks, seven participants lost an average of 14 pounds each and 'were motivated to continue with their weight loss journey'.

But people aren't impressed, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share their outrage.

One person wrote: "And this, kids, is why ethics needs to be taught in science. Good God, I thought medicine was past these kinds of torture devices."

"90% sure this is in breach of a few health and war crime laws," a second added.

And another joked: "Have you considered wiring the professors fingers together so they can do less of this?"

Professor Paul Brunton, lead researcher from the University of Otago’s Division of Health Sciences, has since said in a statement: "It is a non-invasive, reversible, economical and attractive alternative to surgical procedures. The fact is, there are no adverse consequences with this device."

And a further statement from the University read: "To clarify, the intention of the device is not intended as a quick or long-term weight-loss tool; rather it is aimed to assist people who need to undergo surgery and who cannot have the surgery until they have lost weight.

"After two or three weeks they can have the magnets disengaged and device removed. They could then have a period with a less restricted diet and then go back into treatment. This would allow for a phased approach to weight loss supported by advice from a dietician."
